  • Notes
    • Ray Anderson's web page: Louisa County formed 1742 from Hanover County Hanover from New Kent Co. David's descendants left Louisa, VA, USA in 1807, moved to Garrard, Kentucky, USA . Archilaus took his whole family to Kentucky. His sister, Susanna and husband, Henderson Lawrence, also came to Kentucky at same time. During Civil War, Hanover Co's records went to Richmond for safekeeping and were burned during battle for Richmond. Louisa kept its records home and most survived.

      RE: RAY ANDERSON DNY REPORT

      Raymond (Ray) Paul Anderson Jr.
      Ballinger Texas
Family Tree DNA kit # 86095
Ray decided to do the DNA research because the Anderson family had hit a brick wall in
finding David Anderson died 1781 who married Judith _______ parents.
The first test of 3-3-2007 result was Ray Anderson matched with descendants of the Rev.
Nathan Anderson of Louisa County Virginia 1750 to 1790. So David and Nathan are
either brothers or close cousins. As of 1-26-2014 no notices of other Anderson family
      matches have been received.
Ray Anderson did the 67 Y-DNA test.
The descendants of the Rev. Nathan Anderson did the 37 marker test.
Ray Anderson then did the “Deep Clade-R” DNA test 8-2-2009.
The result of this test classified Ray as “L-21 Positive” and Ray was placed in the “Scots
Model”. This meant the Anderson lineage could be either Welsh or Scottish.
Then in 10-23-2013 Ray Anderson Tested for the L1065 marker. If one tests negative for
the L1065 marker then they are of Welsh lineage. If they test L1065 positive they are of
the Scottish lineage. Ray tested positive which means David’s Anderson lineage is
      Scottish.
Then in 11-13-2013 Ray Anderson tested for the L1335 marker. Ray tested positive and
this marker is labeled the “Picts” marker. A large part of Scotland was known as Pictland
before becoming Scotland. For more on the Picts tribe I refer you to the BBC series “A
History of Scotland”. The first 2 episodes will get you into the Picts history. I
recommend all of the episodes though.
Ray did not realize that the L1065 Y-DNA marker was down stream to the L1335 marker
until after he completed the L1335 test. If you test positive fort he L1065 marker you
will be positive for the L1335. So the test only re-enforced what was already true.
Ray is considering doing deeper DNA test as of 1-30-2014.
