  Ray Anderson's web page: Louisa County formed 1742 from Hanover County Hanover from New Kent Co. David's descendants left Louisa, VA, USA in 1807, moved to Garrard, Kentucky, USA . Archilaus took his whole family to Kentucky. His sister, Susanna and husband, Henderson Lawrence, also came to Kentucky at same time. During Civil War, Hanover Co's records went to Richmond for safekeeping and were burned during battle for Richmond. Louisa kept its records home and most survived.
